Principles and Planning
The English education principles and planning
encompass the aspects of reading and language. Both refer to a va riety of English texts dealing with a wide range of topics that
are appropriate and fitting. Our English education adopts the
small-class and proficiency-classified teaching that is intertwined
with formal English curriculum and English conversation classes
taught by Chinese English and foreign teachers. Our bilingual
classes have English-only health, science, reading, and conversation
classes, intending to broaden the knowledge of our students in
English. Through English proficiency classification system, our
students are divided into level-fitting classrooms aiming to enhance
the effectiveness of our English teaching. While providing a myriad
of English clubs and activities, our students are more confident in
English learning, raising the overall learning serviceability.
Language Teaching Characteristics
All classes carry out the Poetry Reading Teaching
that is part of the Deep-rooted Reading Plan. Our teachers compiled
a reader of 300 Tang Poems to encourage student recitation and
certification and to establish a culture of reading and learning. In
addition, by combining information with language teaching, our
computer information instructors cooperated in making theme-based
unit teaching modules that are enjoyable and creative. As well,
through Heart Connect Electronic Newsletter and theme book exhibits,
we encourage our students to submit their publications online and
are praised publicly for their fine works. Not only that, we ready
our children to adapt to worldly changes by providing them with
qualified foreign teachers, fully implementing English-only
teachings starting from kindergarten, equipping the school with
English library and English theme classrooms, organizing study tours
abroad during summer and winter vacations, allowing students to
experience foreign cultures and customs, and grasping English as a
tool for international exchange. |
