Tapping on the strengths of the Taiwanese education system which is recognized internationally for its success in inculcating literacy and numeracy skill, our primary school education offers an academic curriculum which is in line with the Taiwan syllabus. This ensures that students enrolled into TBDS are given the necessary grounding in the important core subjects, namely English, Mathematics and Science. Students are also given a firm foundation in Chinese.

To ensure students develop not just the mind but the body and spirit as well, our school also offers subjects such as Speech, Drama, Music, Art and Craft, Health Education, Social Studies, and Physical Education. Students looking for a unique extracurricular activity will not be disappointed. They can choose from erhu, piano, violin, harmonica, Chinese Calligraphy, oil painting, Chinese painting, dance, golf, badminton, basketball, science club, life camp club, and many more. Also, students are to participate in Life Camp activities. Life Camp is equipped with 32 High and Low Elements Ropes Courses certified by the US ACCT safety standards, making TBDS a training center with the highest amounts of facilities across both straits. Through the Life Camp training, students realize the importance of full participation, mutual trust, creative thinking. All in all, they learn to play a central role in influencing a team’s centrifugal tendency.

To stress the importance of English education, TBDS aims to solidify all subskills in terms of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in their application and communication practicality. Specifically, TBDS applies the internationally recognized Cambridge English Proficiency curriculum and materials in all of its classes. Furthermore, TBDS is also one of the few Cambridge certified training sites in the big area of Dongguan, leading its students to passing Cambridge classification English proficiency examination and obtaining proficiency qualifying certificates. In the TBDS English curriculum, middle and upper schoolers are enhanced with Bilingual Experimental Classes, expanding their realms of English to including All-English health, science, and conversation classes. Our curriculum is proven to provide a well-rounded and adequate All-English learning environment for students who long to further their education abroad in English speaking countries.

To tag along with the core English courses, TBDS also promotes a myriad of English teaching activities, including Spelling Bee Contest, Morning English Passage Recite, Readers’ Club, English Story Telling, English Song Singing, English Speech Contest, English Composition Contest, English Drama, English Holiday Theme Teaching, and After-class English Enhancement Program. In the areas of Summer Camp, TBDS arranges study tours overseas to United States, Australia, Canada, etc., to broaden students’ ken and to make students make good use of what they have learnt.

The primary curriculum also aims to equip students with the necessary life skills needed to survive in today's fast-changing world. It is with this in mind that we have embarked on a skill-based learning approach to complement our existing curriculum. In essence, we recognize the fact that it is no longer sufficient to merely acquire content, but more importantly, students must learn how to learn, and be able to apply the skills and knowledge acquired. All in all, we have always stressed the importance of placing the learners, our children, at the center of the learning process. This way, lessons, teaching approaches, and all curriculum materials that are designed to meet and develop the learners' needs and abilities can be elaborated fully, bringing out the most desirable outcomes.
